Trails Closed for Controlled Burns

Hi All

Have just spoken with Clinton from DEC and there are a few controlled burns on this weekend. There have already been and will be more burning going on around the Kalamunda Circuit and the Dell. So please stay out of this area. Signs will be in place on most of the trails that DEC know about so please obey them. I was out there yesterday and watched a tree fall down so there is a real danger out there. It will probably mean no riding for the next week or two until they declare that it is safe.

There is also controlled burns taking place at Langford Park Jarrahdale. These will start this week and continue for up to six weeks.

The upside to all of this is that once the trails are open they won't be closed again for years!

If you have any questions regarding the trails that are closed feel free to contact me.

Tempest's picture

Perth Mountain Bike Club is pleased to announce a 6 week dirt crit series in Garvey Park, Belmont starting on Tuesday 12th of October at 6.30pm.

For those of you who don't know what a dirt crit is, it is a short track with lots of action. The race goes for approx 45 minutes. We should have a limited number of lights on hand for those that dont have them.

If anyone isn't racing, but would like to come down and watch, it should be good.

PMBC DH #2 Goat Farm Results

Thanks to our volunteers and to all the riders who came to make for a great day. Results are attached below.

Awesome Turner Hill Trail Fairies

While mapping the updated 60km loop of the Dwellingup 100 today we came across "Ian" at Turner Hill.

Ian and his mates have been maintaining TH and have just put in some fantastic water run off drains in anticipation of us actually getting some rain.

On behalf of PMBC I would just like to thank Ian and his mates, along with Jamie Campbell and the volunteers who have made this such an awesome track.

Thanks Guys, well done.
