Hi All
I am a complete newbie to this site but wanted to upload some more info about the SRAM 24 Hour Classic - Round Tu-It that I received from Dave and Helen @ Round Tu-It. (I have been given permission by Helen to upload)

I can give you some details in the placing order of the teams, how they measured 1st/2nd/3rd outright is a bit like how an African country counts votes... This info is taken from the photo I took at the event afterwood.
1st place Solo went to Nathan Dyke - 41 laps (note Nathan stopped riding at 11:30 so this is pretty amazing stats)
2nd and 3rd Solo.. not sure of order Don Maclean/Frank Chauvam - 33 laps
1st place 3 man team "Malaga Mates" - 52 laps
1st place 4 man team went to "team trustech" (Lyndon Beck, Scott Wheldon, Luke Hardy and Matthew Hodge) - 56 laps
2nd place 4 man went "Mighty Mojos" - 53 laps
1st Place 6 man "JLo's Fan Club" - 58 laps

Yeah strange how they payed $600 for the most laps to the biggest team.
Next time turn up with 10 mates get more sleep and walk away with the cash for doing less work
Had a great time and battle with Team Trustech throughout the night they had a well deserved win.
Especially after Scott i think did a nudie lap.
Classic even though they didn't need the two bonus laps (i think he just wanted to show his arse)
Great course, great event and great atmosphere.
Thanks to all the staff at round tu-it and Malaga cycles for the time and effort put in.
hopefully the event will grow bigger and bigger every year

haha yeah it was Matt that
haha yeah it was Matt that did the nudie run, not me, my balls arn't big enough for that... hahaha.. He did the nudie run at 13:30hrs mainly to just put some fun into the game and he still managed to keep his avg lap time for the run.
It really was a good tussle against you guys as we were within a lap of each other for some 20 hours solid going back and forth and it helped keep the spirit up us all stirring each other up.
How about that crazy French guy Frank ! the things he said to me each time I passed him during the night, I would almost fall off my bike laughing. I did wonder if he was drunk or something... totally wicked.
I must say that this particular course is one of the best cross country courses for this type of event I have seen, heaps of single track and lots of places for safe passing. A credit to the guys and a dammned good start for this annual event, we will def put in a team or two next year. Hope you Mojo guys can join in again too.. come and take revenge, it was so close for such a long time.

the resylts are as per original rules (not african votes) most laps came 1st !!Most individual came 2nd etc
1st J Lo's Fan club, 58 laps- Dave Nairn,Simone McCallum,Peter Butt, Aaron Chin James & Amanda Lobegeigor
2nd solo Nathan dyke with 41 laps Solo
3rd team Trustech 56 laps , Lyndon Beck, Scott Wheldon Luke Hardy & Mat (naked lap) Hodge
4th solo with 34 lapsdon McClean
1st Blood trophy Jenny Alexander,( Malaga Mixed Mongrels) also the Bruiser award for the most bruises
Biggest stack to Daryl sommerville from the Cyclepaths ,,also 4 out of the 6 cyclepathswere treated for injury,
maybe a change of name next time (Broken Bits)
Special note for peter McKay who raised $1200-00 in sponsorship for the RSPCA

Pete Mckay here. Great event. Thanks so much to the organisers. I was stoked to ride 22 hours and finish 4th of solos with 29 laps. Wish I'd kept riding. I have a couple of photos and will forward these soon. Frank was mad - but a machine on the bike and I owe him for the pain killers that got me through from 5 am! I hope to go again next year but will need to firm up support. My dad and wife susanne were ace this time round! Close to $1300 for the RSPCA - thanks all!

Can anybody explain in plain English the results:

Thanks for the comments about myself,but please a bit of respect for the older rider on the track.I tell you man, there is no respect for the old people anymore from the youngs. When I was young..bla.bla.bla.....Cu you all next year,and you better all train hard.People kept on telling me :you have to be mad to do a 24hrs and this is what I did :being mad!!!I just whish I did not have 2 shower stops during the night,this was really mad .

Hi all! Go on Frank you have to learn French first before you understand African ...If we get more young people like you to enter next year we can have different categories Solo, masters etc.
Photos will be in the local rag "Karri Pigeon" anyone want it let me know.It is a centre fold of riders & "nudies"plus other interestng stuff of the event.We are waiting for the video. also some one requested photos of the 6 hr 2008 get in touch if you still want them.
It is pretty well set Australia Day weekend for the next 24hr at Roundtu-it & 6 hr on the 13th November we will keep you posted.If you have any more input about events (positive that is)let us know & we will do our best.
