Wembley Cycles Retro Race / SS Champs - Results

Well, that was an awesomely punishing day, and here are some results to go with it.

Note that the SingleSpeed race was a handicap event; the lap time for the first lap includes the handicap. I don't have the handicap times for each rider to hand, because John Carney figured it would be a superb thing to use a different laptop to calculate those, what a technological genius. I'm sure he'll send them to me soon enough, and I'll post them up here.

A Big Thankyou!

Firstly to John Carney for putting the whole event together. He took a bit of a punt on this event, especially since only 3 or 4 people regularly race single speed at the state and PMBC rounds. Therefore I should thank all those who came out and raced in both the Retro races and the Single Speed State Champs. You all made it a great day.

I would also like to say thanks to a few people who helped on the day. Amanda who ran the timing, Tammy our First Aider, Brett for cooking up a storm on the BBQ and Mike Daws for trouble shooting the rego and timing and various computer stuff. (oh and riding my shogun to more glory than I was going to be able to manage)

Thanks also go out to Tony Tucknott for helping with the course.

Congratulations to Simon Dec for winning the Open Category and Robbie Rhodes for winning the Juniors.

We'll be back next year bigger and better after the success of this event. Hope to see you all there.
