PMBC State Round 2: Goat-Farm 30th & 31st May 2009

Ok so we all know the bad news about Bridgey, but eh we have got some great news?it is usually a requirement by DEC to get 8 weeks notice to apply for a race/ event on their land so getting the GF with only a couple weeks notice is great. Thanks DEC for your support. We will probably be having a busy bee to get the tracks at GF up to par for a state event?they just need some TLC. Check the PMBC announcements as to when we?ll meet for some needed maintenance to some of the tracks.

We plan to run a combined track: using the 'State Champs' & the 'A-Kline' similar, yet different to the club event that pushed 2 minutes out of the GF in 2008. The PMBC Committee members will be scouting the tracks soon to see which combination will work the best to provide a fast, flowy, yet technical & challenging race track.

There will be food provided by the SWMBC, the same people who fed us all at Nannup this year?so ya know it will be yummy! Pasta, burgers, dogs?very similar menu to Nannup.

I will need people for volunteers again as marshals and start gate. If you can help please e-mail me at dh@perthmtb.com Volunteers for marshals and start gate will get ? price on rego for a person of their choice. You will receive a voucher by e-mail reply that you present at rego tent on the day. No late fees to pay on day with a voucher.

Registration
Online rego is available at https://www.registernow.com.au/secure/Register.aspx?ID=1854 and I strongly urge everyone to take advantage of this service, as it makes life way easier for everyone on the day (queues move quicker) . Getting there:
From Perth head out Great Eastern Hwy, out past Midland to Green Mount Hill. It is up the hill on the Great Eastern Hwy just past Scott Library on the right hand-side (just before the bus-stop). Turn right at the PMBC sign, onto Green Mount Road. Immediately turn left at 1st T-intersection. Follow that road down to right through open white gate into the designated parking lot.

The Goat-farm is a legendary track in WA?I believe it is the place where most Perth riders first learnt how to do this sport. Since it is so close to Perth, it really is an awesome track for spectators because of how close it is. This track displays the high speed of the extreme, hardcore nature of our adrenaline filled sport?Hope to see everyone there!
